Vegetables sold at Walmart, Target and other retailers recalled due to possible listeria contamination

Mann Packing Co., Inc. (Mann) announced the voluntary recall of more than 100 vegetable products sold to retailers in the United States and Canada.

The products are sold under the brand names Del Monte, Mann’s, Trader Joe’s, Marketside, HEB, O Organic, Kroger, and others listed below.

The voluntary recall is a response to a notification by the Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency of potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled products have “Best If Enjoyed By” date of October 11, 2019, to November 16, 2019. The full list of products and all corresponding product images are available at this link.

Anyone who has any of the products in the recall should dispose of them.

*The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says listeria primarily affects pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems after they eat contaminated food. It’s the third-leading cause of death in the U.S. from foodborne illness.*
