After being dormant for over 10 years, the Brazoria County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has been reactivated.
“This is a call to any disenfranchise person or group to join the fight for FREEDOM, CIVIL RIGHTS and EQUALITY for ALL in our community,” said Eugene Howard, Reactivation Chair of the local branch.
The election of officers will take place at the Greater Love Community Church, 2540 East Broadway Street on Tuesday, May 21st 5 pm.
The members will elect a President, Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer.
