DeWALT electric drills pose shock hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is recalling certain DeWALT drills due to a shock hazard.

1334_1The CPSC says the wiring in DeWALT DWD110 and DWD112 drills can make contact with internal moving parts, posing a shock hazard.

About 122,00 units are reportedly affected and need to be repaired. Many of the DeWALT drills look alike, so be sure to check the label to determine their specific drill.

These drills were sold at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon.com, and other hardware stores in the United States and Canada.

If you own one of the affected drills, immediately stop using them and contact DeWALT at 855-752-5259.  DeWALT can also be contacted through email at recall@sbdinc.com or online on their website.
