Dr. Pepper wants to become the official soft drink of Texas

Coke or Pepsi? Neither! Dr. Pepper wants to show the world that they are here to stay. And, apparently, the company also wants the popular beverage to become the official Lone Star State drink.

Dr. Pepper has announced the launch of a petition to become the official soft drink of Texas. They are calling on their passionate fans to sign their Change.org petition and make their voices heard by sharing the petition on social media using #DrPepperLovesTX.

Dr. Pepper was created in Waco, Texas in 1885 and the popular drink has become as synonymous with Texas as bluebonnets, Whataburger and Buc’ee’s.

To celebrate the movement, Dr. Pepper will debut a collection of special edition bottle labels showcasing some of the state’s most iconic landmarks and landscapes.

You can buy the limited edition in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Waco, and fans are encouraged to collect them all in honor of the Lone Star State and its beloved beverage brand.
