Beloved Pearland Firefighter dies

FROM THE CITY OF PEARLAND: It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Battalion Chief Fire Marshal Greg Bozdech. Greg passed away this afternoon surrounded by family and friends. He served the Pearland community selflessly and with a positive attitude for 11 years and will be deeply missed. He came in to the Pearland Fire Department as a part-time Fire Inspector and was promoted to Battalion Chief a little over three years ago. He was instrumental in starting our K-9 Accelerant Detection Program along with many other accomplishments. The picture below is with his first dog “Buddy”.

This post will be updated with service information when it becomes available.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

From the MPN staff, we are heartbroken to hear about the passing of Chief Bozdech. He is one of the nicest men we had the pleasure to meet.  Thank you, Chief Bozdech for all you did to keep Pearland safe.
