The search continues for 9-year-old autistic boy who disappeared from the home of his uncle, retired pro basketball player Marcus Camby, during a Thanksgiving Day visit.

According to police, Marcus McGhee was last seen around 4 p.m. Thursday at his uncles residence in the 6700 block of Fite. Marcus was visiting Camby from Connecticut, said Pearland Police Lt. Onesimo Lopez.

Marcus has an extreme level of autism and it is believed if he is approached by a stranger that he will likely run and hide again putting himself in more danger.  Searchers should call 911 so they can surround the boy with counselors or family members.

Update from the Pearland PD:

SEARCH CONTINUES: For those still on foot or in the area helping search for Marcus McGhee, we received some information that may be helpful: Marcus loves the songs, “Wheels on the Bus,” “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” and “If You’re Happy and You Know It.” It may be helpful to play those songs within the search area. Also, those searchers on ATV’s are asked to drive slowly as they search. Marcus likes ATV’s and may be drawn to the sound and may want a ride. Thank you to everyone who is searching!!
